Training

Cleavely Athletic Track, Blantyre Street, Winton, Eccles

The track is a floodlit track off Worsley Road Winton Eccles and is used all year round

We only close on Bank Holidays & for 2 weeks at Christmas

   

Training Times

Under 11's & School Year 6

Mon and Thurs Evening 6:30pm-7:30pm

UK Athletics trained coaches are in attendance

   

Training Times

12 yrs + ; Senior School Children & Adults

Mon and Thurs Evening 7:30pm-9:00pm

UK Athletics trained coaches are in attendance

   

Training Fees

16 years and under - £1 per session

over 16’s - £1.40 per session

Competitions


Track & Field


During the Summer the Club competes in the following Leagues. Anyone wishing to compete should see their coach.

Cheshire League – 4 league meetings per year for Under 11’s, Under 13’s, Under 15’s, Under 17’s and Seniors (our Under 11 team were the Champions in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009)(our Womens team were Champions in 2006)

Young Athletes League – 4 league meetings per year for Under 13’s, Under 15’s and Under 17’s.

North of England Track & Field League – 4 league meetings per year for Seniors

In addition the club holds an Athletics Triathlon meeting for its members in September.

In addition the club hold meetings for its members and athletes are encouraged to compete in various Open meetings

 


Cross Country


The club organises 3 cross country races in the Autumn for the local primary and senior schools.

The Club also competes in the

  1. South East Lancs Cross Country League
    which involves 4 races throughout the Winter. All age groups compete here
  2. The Manchester Area Cross Country League for all ages

In addition athletes compete in the Greater Manchester, Northern and English National Championships and open competitions
